Language Arts
Students receive instruction through the use of an integrated Language Arts program and the study of two novels to improve their vocabulary and comprehension and to develop a life long interest in reading. They receive instruction and practice in the use of the major skills basic to the language arts: grammar, mechanics and usage, composition, vocabulary, study skills, sentence combination, and language and reasoning. Through a variety of interesting activities, students work on weekly spelling lists. Students also incorporate spelling with vocabulary development, grammar, dictionary skills, and creative writing. Students receive instruction and practice in cursive writing, including an emphasis upon legibility, neatness, and correct letter formation. Every class visits the library for 30 minutes weekly to give the students the opportunity to select and read books for enjoyment as well find resources for class assignments and activities.

Bible

Moving into Acts, students see the building of God’s church as the Gospel spreads through the missionary journeys of Paul and through famous missionaries of history.
