WHAT I LOVE ABOUT FRIENDS
I love how Friends is such a Christ-centered, loving atmosphere. I really feel cared for as an employee and feel that I am always being poured into by my fellow coworkers, assistant director, and directors. I feel cared for and listened to. I love how welcoming everyone was when I was knew and how everyone was so willing and excited to help me and answer my many questions that come with being new. I love everything about Friends and I am beyond blessed to be working at such an amazing place.

FAVORITE FRIENDS TRADITION
I don’t know any traditions yet since I’m new but I am so excited to learn about them! I do love how my assistant director and director came around with a “woot woot” cart and showed the teachers that they appreciated us and cared for us. That was so incredibly thoughtful and I loved that.
BEST TEACHING MOMENT
One of my best teaching moments was when I saw a video of one of my students at home playing “teacher” with her little brother. She sang the same morning songs about Jesus that I sing with them and continued to mimic how we start our mornings everyday. I love to see how school is impacting them in a positive way and that they are excited to sing songs about Jesus!

My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9!
BEST MEMORY AT FRIENDS
I have many favorite memories at friends since I had been attending since I was in preschool, but many of my favorite memories were at little friends preschool, where I now work, playing on the tire swing with my friends! I also love how I had a teacher in 6th grade at friends who made me feel seen and heard. I struggled with academics when I was little and she assured me that she would never give up on me and that we would find a way together to be able to help me understand. She is the reason I wanted to be a teacher and that is my favorite memory from friends Christian.
