Yorba Linda Summer Camp “BLAST” Provides Affordable, Flexible Childcare for North Orange County Families

Friends Christian School is proud to offer BLAST Summer Camp, a thoughtfully designed summer program that supports families with flexible scheduling, extended hours, and meaningful experiences for kids.

Running from June 15 through July 31, 2026, BLAST Summer Camp is open to students entering 1st through 6th grade and offers convenient week-by-week enrollment allowing families to choose one or all of the weeks that fit their summer plans.

With extended care available as early as 7:00 AM and ends at 6:00 PM, BLAST provides dependable, full-day coverage while giving children a place they genuinely look forward to being each day. BLAST Summer Camp goes beyond traditional childcare by creating a well-rounded experience that blends fun, creativity, and continued learning where campers enjoy themed weeks, exciting field trips, outdoor play, and hands-on activities, all within a safe and nurturing environment led by experienced staff.

BLAST Director, Amie Gray shares, “We are so excited for BLAST 2026 and have been joyfully planning another summer full of fun, connection, and meaningful moments for our campers. Our caring, experienced staff work hard to create a safe and welcoming environment where every child is known and valued. Our days are filled with activities, exciting field trips, and chapel times that help kids grow in faith and character while making lasting friendships. We can’t wait to share this summer with your students!”

A key component of the program is its built-in academic review, which helps students reinforce essential skills from the school year. This intentional approach keeps learning fresh and helps prevent the common “summer slide,” so students return to school feeling confident and prepared.

Open to both Friends Christian School students and the broader community, BLAST Summer Camp provides an accessible and trusted option for families throughout the North Orange County area. With limited space available and strong interest each year, early registration is encouraged.

Program Highlights:

  • Flexible weekly enrollment
  • Extended hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Affordable pricing with activities and field trips included
  • Academic review to reinforce learning and prevent summer learning loss
  • Weekly themes, field trips, and engaging activities
  • Safe, caring, Christ-centered environment
